Old Photo and Art Museum

Old Photo and Art Museum is a multifunctional museum structure which houses: exhibition spaces for the permanent collection, spaces for temporary exhibits, a multi-screen hall and facilities for the public (museum store, cloakroom, cafeteria, restaurant). The offices are distributed partly in the historic building, called the Ottoman School, and partly in three new buildings.

The Old Photo and Art Museum project combines two additional interventions: on one side the architectural restoration of the building called the Ottoman Navy School and its base and, on the other, the construction of the new buildings mentioned, connected to the existing architecture. The construction of these new buildings is due to the need to increase the space necessary for organizing those museum functions and those services to the public that characterize modern museum institutions.
